How do I determine my organization's verification status?

In order for your organization to be able to collect donations through GiveGab, we’ll need to make sure you're verified to do so! By discovering where your organization is in the verification process, you'll be able to make the necessary changes and be on the fast-track to fundraising success!

Navigate to the "Bank Account & Verification" page

From your Admin Dashboard, click on “Manage Organization” to expand more options. From these new options, click "Bank Account & Verification" to be taken to your organization's bank account and general verification page.

Check your organization's Donation Status

Your organization's Donation Status will appear at the top of your Bank Account & Verification page. Use the guide below to identify what your Donation Status means and next steps to getting verified.

Donation Status: Incomplete

When your organization's status is "Incomplete" it means that you still need to attest your fundraising compliance or add your organization's bank account information. Your status will be incomplete if either of these components is missing.

To enable donations for your organization on GiveGab, fill out the rest of the fields on this page with your organization information, organization representative information, and bank account information. Once this information has been entered and is correct, click "Save" to begin the verification process.

Note: If your organization is being fiscally sponsored by another organization, they will need to fill out the "Bank Account & Verification" page with their information.

Donation Status: Unverified

When your organization's status is "Unverified," there may be an issue verifying your organization representative information with our payment processor, Stripe. You can learn why this may be happening in this article here, or reach out to a member of our Customer Success team for assistance at customersuccess@givegab.com.

Donation Status: Pending

When your organization's status is "Pending" there may an issue verifying the EIN provided for your organization with the IRS to receive tax-deductible donations. Our Customer Success team will be following up to make sure you're all set, but if you see that anything is incorrect on your Bank Account & Verification page, it may be holding up your verification.

Our automated verification system uses the IRS Pub 78 database to ensure that organizations fundraising on our site are eligible to receive tax-deductible donations.

Note: If your organization is a chapter, governmental, or religious organization, please reach out to us at customersuccess@givegab.com or use the blue chat bubble so we can manually verify you with other forms of documentation.

Donation Status: Verified

If your organization's Donation Status reads Verified, congratulations! Your organization is all set to collect donations on GiveGab and continue moving your mission forward!

Note: Is your organization verified but your banking information outdated? The organization administrator must make a request to update the information by emailing customersuccess@givegab.com or using the blue chat bubble. Please do not include your bank account information in this email.
