GiveGab's single offline donation form is a simple way to contribute a cash or check amount to your Giving Day totals. You can choose to attribute the gift to a specific participating organization, or just have the dollar amount added to your overall Giving Day totals as a generic amount. Many partners use this to represent unawarded prize and sponsorship dollars, add unspecified gifts to the Giving Day, or add a gift to an organization's total if you collected the gift on their behalf.

Step 1: Navigate to your Partner Dashboard

Log in to www.givegab.com and navigate to your Partner Dashboard by clicking on your Giving Day.

Step 2: Navigate to the "Donations" Page

Select the "Donations" tab from the sidebar, then select "Donation Report" to navigate to the "Donations" page.

Step 3: Add Offline Donation

From there, click on the blue "Actions" button, and select "Add Offline Donation" from the dropdown that appears.

Step 4: Enter Donation Details

A form should appear on your screen, where you will enter the details of that offline gift. This form is the same that your nonprofits have available to enter their offline gifts (if you allow offline gifts for your Giving Day), except that you have an extra field for attributing to your select organization.

Upon filling all of the desired fields, select the "Create Donation" button, and this gift should now appear in the appropriate reports and your totals. You can verify its creation by refreshing your page and opening up your Donations tab again to view the table of offline gifts.

Note: The only required fields are First Name, Last Name, and Amount.

  1. Donor First and Last Name: Here you can enter the donor's information. There are anonymity settings further down. You can also use these fields as generic Sponsor, Prize, or placeholder names.

  2. Amount: The monetary value of the gift. No need to enter a "$" sign - simply add the number. Offline gifts can have cents.

  3. Custom Display Name: If the donor would like to be displayed publicly in a specific manner that goes beyond the Donor First and Last Name fields, you can use this field. For instance, "The Smith Family". This will publicly override the Donor First and Last Names, but you will have all 3 fields available internally on your reports.

  4. Add Donor Address: For record keeping purposes, you can check this box to make address fields available for entry. To keep the form simple, the checkbox creates an opt in or opt out scenario.

  5. Apply to Organization (Optional): If the gifts should be added to an organization's totals and reports, begin typing their name and select your desired organization.

  6. Donor's Message: If a public comment from the donor should be added to the gift, please include here.

  7. Fallback Message: A fallback profile serves as an 'other' option, while the fallback message prompts donors to specify their preferred destination for their donation if they opt for the 'other' choice.

  8. Privacy Options: Check all boxes that apply. You can select to hide the donor's name from the public (but not in reports), hide the amount from the public (but not from reports), or both.

  9. Receipt Email (Optional): This is only necessary if a receipt needs to be sent to the donor for the gift. If a receipt email is skipped, a receipt will not be generated for the donor.
