Step 1: Navigate to your Admin Dashboard

If your home page is not your Admin Dashboard, click on the drop-down box at the bottom of the screen next to 'Viewing Dashboard For' to view a list of organizations that you are an administrator for. Click on the name of the organization that you would like to access.

Step 2: Navigate to your Giving Day Dashboard

From your Admin Dashboard's 'Home' page, use the Giving Days banner to select the Giving Day Dashboard that you would like to view.

Step 3: Manage Your Sponsored Matching & Challenges

From your Giving Day Dashboard, click 'Manage Sponsor Matching' at the bottom of the page under 'Donation Tools'.

Step 4: Add a Challenge

Click the 'Add Challenge' button to begin customizing the details of your Dollar, Donation, or Donor Challenge.

Step 5: Enter Your Challenge Details

Using this form, you can customize the details of your Challenge & how it will appear on your Giving Day profile. Challenges are a great way to motivate your donors to help you unlock special incentives through their participation!

a. Name Your Challenge

Here, you will want to add the name of your Challenge as it will appear to donors. If you are promoting your Challenge to your supporters, make sure to add that title in this field.

b. Add Challenge Description

To give your supporters more details about this specific Challenge, you will want to add a description. Use this space to share any important details regarding the Challenge Opportunity.

c. Set Your Challenge Amount

The challenge amount is the money that your sponsor has pledged to donate if your challenge is met.

d. Add Your Sponsor Donor Name

Fill in this section to display the name of your Challenge Sponsor according to how they would like to be recognized for their sponsorship. The Sponsor Donor Name is required for your reporting purposes & will not display publicly unless you check the box next to 'Display Sponsor Donor Name Publicly'.

e. Add a Link to Your Sponsor's Website (Optional)

If your Challenge Sponsor is an organization or business, consider including a link to their website. Promoting your sponsor is a great way to say thank you for their generous contribution!

f. Add Your Sponsor's Logo (Optional)

If the sponsor of your Match has a photo or logo that they/you would like to feature, you can upload that here to be displayed along with your Match. To add a photo, click “Select Image” & then click “Apply” once you have adjusted it.

Note: Sponsor Logos will always display if present, regardless of whether you choose to display the Sponsor Donor Name publicly or not.

g. Select Your Time Zone

You can use the "Time Zone" drop-down menu to select your Giving Day's Time Zone.

h. Set Your Challenge's Start & End Times

Choose a start and end time for when the challenge will be active. Click in the corresponding fields for Start Time & End Time to display the calendar.

i. Choose Your Challenge Type

Giving Days supports three different types of challenges:

  1. Dollar Challenge: based on a certain dollar amount raised

  2. Donation Challenge: based on a certain number of donations received

  3. Donor Challenge: based on a certain number of unique donations made by donors received

j. Set Your Challenge Goal

Add the condition for which the challenge will be completed, whether it's a dollar amount you hope to reach or a number of donors. Enter only a number amount in this box.

k. Archive Your Challenge (Optional)

If, later on, you would like your Challenge to be marked as 'Inactive', check the box here. This will also prevent this Challenge from being displayed in future fundraising.

Step 6: Click 'Save'

Once you have customized the details of your Challenge, be sure to click the 'Save' button & your Challenge will activate, ready to motivate your Giving Day Donors!

You can view, edit, archive, or remove this Match from your Giving Day profile from the Matches and Challenges page at any time.
