Step 1: Navigate to iGiveCatholic.org
On the main landing page for #iGiveCatholic, (www.igivecatholic.org) click the 'Give Back' button which will be available from the start of Advanced Giving on November 18 through 11:59 PM on GivingTuesday, December 3, 2024.
Step 2: Search for Participating Organizations
After clicking 'Give Back', you will be directed to this page where you can search for organizations that are participating in #iGiveCatholic on GivingTuesday:
From this page, you can refine your search by:
Keyword/Organization Name - Search by organization name, mission, or any other keywords to locate the organization that you want to support. TIP: If the organization's name has a St. or Saint in it, search with the proper name only (i.e. Michael or Catherine, etc.) to avoid missing it in the search results.
You can also use one or more of the three Filters available on the right side of the page:
2. Partner - Search by the diocese or other group under which the organization you are looking to support resides.
3. Cause - Search by a specific cause that you would like to support. (i.e. Campus Ministry, Homelessness and Housing, or Parish Life.)
4. Location - Search by city, zip code, or state.
As you refine your search, the results will automatically populate beneath the filters for you to scroll through!
Step 3: Make Your Donation or Fill Up Your Gift Basket!
Note: If you would like to donate to organizations from multiple dioceses or other groups, you must create a separate Gift Basket within each corresponding partner's site. For example: if you would like to donate to an organization registered under the National Ministries site & donate to an organization registered under the Catholic Education site, you cannot have both of those organizations in one Gift Basket. They will need to be processed as separate donations. You can, however, process up to ten donations in your Gift Basket from a single diocese or group.
Once you navigate to the organization's profile, click on the 'Donate' button, or select the basket icon next to the organization's logo to add a gift to this organization to your Gift Basket. If you still have more gifts to add, continue to browse the site by going back to the search page. When you are ready to checkout, click the Gift Basket icon in the top right corner of the site, & click 'Checkout'.
You may also donate to an organization directly from the Search page by clicking on the 'Donate' button under their name!
A pop-up window will appear, where you can choose a set amount to give or specify a custom amount.
When you are all set, you can either add your donation to your Gift Basket & continue searching for organizations or move on to the 'Checkout' process to finalize your donation. If you choose to add your gift to the Gift Basket, a green confirmation banner will display towards the top of the page & you will see your gift added to your Gift Basket.
Step 4: Customize Your Donation(s)
When you are ready to complete your donation, you will have the ability to customize your gift to that organization. You can change the amount you would like to give, customize your display & anonymity settings for your donation, let the organization know if you are a new donor, & even include a personal message! You can even add/remove another gift from your cart without having to browse through the site again.
Please note: There is a limit of 10 gifts in your Gift Basket per transaction!

Once you have completed these fields, navigate to the second step of the donation process by clicking the 'Next' button.
Step 5: Provide Payment Information
In the second step of your donation, you will enter your payment information, mailing address, & phone number. All major credit cards are accepted, including via Mobile Pay!
For gifts of $100 or more, there will be an option to pay directly through your bank via their online platform. To choose this payment method, click the "Bank Account" icon.
In 2024, some dioceses added the option to pay for donations using a Donor Advised Fund (DAF). If that option is available in your beneficiary organization's host diocese or group, you will see it as a payment method on Step 2 of the donation form. To learn more about paying by DAF, please contact your local administrator listed in the footer of the website.
To finalize your gift, continue on to the third step.
Note: If you are not located in the U.S., you will be able to select another country from the 'Country' dropdown box, & you will be able to continue the donation process from there.
Step 6: Confirming Your Gift(s)
In the final step of your #iGiveCatholic on GivingTuesday donation, you will be asked to review & confirm your donation preferences. You will also have the option of covering the online fundraising costs for the organization to which you donated. All donations will be paid to your chosen ministry/ministries net the fundraising costs (vendor & credit card transaction costs), which total 5.8% plus $0.30. Once you have reviewed the information, click the 'Submit' button to complete your donation!
Note: If you have made multiple donations during the same check-out process, you will see each transaction on your bank statement, & will be emailed a separate receipt for each gift.
