How Do I Register for a Year-Round Giving Profile?

Learn how to register for a Year-Round Giving Profile!

Step 1: Go to Your Giving Platform's Website

On your Giving Platform's website, locate the"Apply/Register Now" or "Open a Profile" button on the main landing page to begin the application process. There are a few different ways to begin this process:

A) The banner

There will be an "Apply/Register Now" or "Open a Profile" button on a banner, either at the top or in the middle of the main landing page. Click that button to get started on your application!

B) The bottom of the page

There will be an "Apply/Register Now" or "Open a Profile" button on the bottom left side of the main landing page. Click that button to get started on your application!

C) Contact the host organization

If there is no "Apply/Register" or "Open a profile" button, scroll down to the bottom of the main landing page. There will be the host organization's contact information on the bottom right side of the page. You can reach out to the host organization using the provided contact information for further guidance on how to apply.

Step 2: Search for Your Organization

After clicking the "Apply/Register Now" or "Open a Profile" button in Steps 1A or 1B, you will be prompted to search for your organization. Enter your organization’s name or EIN in the search bar, and the results will automatically populate below.

I clicked on the "Apply/Register Now" button, but it did not direct me to search for my organization. Where do I go now?

If the "Apply/Register Now" button did not take you to the organization search, your Giving Platform's website will have the steps for the new profile application process on the resulting page. Please follow the instructions on that page to complete your application!

A) If your organization has previously fundraised on GiveGab:

Click the "Participate" button below your organization's name.

After clicking "Participate", you will be prompted to log into your GiveGab administrator account and begin the application survey. Once logged in, skip down to Step 4.

What if I do not have administrator access?

If you do not have administrator access, select "Request Access" to send a request to the current administrators of your organization's profile. Once an administrator approves your request, you will be able to log in and complete the application survey.

Why do I see "Inquire about registering"?

If you see an "Inquire about registering" message, it means there are no administrators listed for the profile. Please reach out to our team for assistance by clicking "Inquire" or using the blue chat bubble at the bottom right of the page!

B) If your organization has not previously fundraised on GiveGab:

Don't fret! Just scroll to the bottom of the results and click the "Add My Organization" button to get set up and continue with the application process!

Note: If your organization already has a GiveGab profile, you may skip that step and head straight to the application survey! See step 2A above.

Step 3: Add Your Organization

If you clicked the "Add My Organization" button, you will be directed to this application form, where you will be prompted to enter some basic information about your organization. This is also where you will create your personal login to access and edit your organization's Year-Round Giving Profile. You can add additional administrators to your organization's account once you have registered. Once this section is complete, click the "Continue" button.

Step 4: Complete Application Survey

After completing the steps above, you will be directed to the final page before your application is submitted. Here, you will need to answer the required survey questions to finish your organization's application.

Note: To complete the survey, be sure to fill out every field accompanied by "*required".

Once the survey is complete, click the "Submit" button to finish your application. You will receive an email confirmation and be automatically redirected to your dashboard on GiveGab, where you can begin customizing your Year-Round Giving Profile!

Other Questions:

My Year-Round Giving Platform has a registration fee - how do I complete payment?

If you are registering for a Year-Round Giving Platform that charges a registration fee, you will need to select your "Registration Type" at the beginning of the survey:

After selecting your "Registration Type", a field to enter name and credit card information will appear at the bottom of the survey. Please be sure to complete those fields before you submit.

The survey requires I upload documentation - how do I do so?

Some surveys will require that you upload documentation. If this is the case, click the "Choose File" button to upload your document. Please ensure the file is a PDF that is less than 5MB in size.

I received an "Authentication Required" error message - what now?

If you received an "Authentication Required" error message, it is likely because you have been inactive on our site for an extended period of time and need to log in again to be re-authenticated. Please try navigating to the Bonterra/GiveGab sign-in page here in a new tab or window and logging in again.


​To avoid losing your work, please do not close out the tab where you have been working on your registration!

Once you have logged back in, you should be able to navigate back to your registration form and successfully submit it.
