How do I register for a Giving Day?

Learn how to register for a Giving Day!

Step 1: Go to your Giving Day's Website

From your Giving Day's website, click the Register Button on the main landing page to begin the registration process.

I clicked the Register Button; why am I seeing an Introduction Page?

After clicking the Register button, your Giving Day may have an introduction page before you begin. If this is the case, please read through carefully before proceeding. When finished, click the Register Button to move forward.

Step 2: Search for Your Organization

After clicking the Register Button button you'll be prompted to search for your organization. Once you've entered your organization's name or EIN in the search bar, the results will automatically populate below.

A) If your organization has participated in a previous Giving Day or has fundraised on GiveGab:

Click the Participate Button below your organization's name.

After clicking "Participate", you'll be able to log into your GiveGab administrator account and begin the registration survey! (Skip down to Step 4 for more details)

What if I don't have administrator access?

If you do not have administrator access, please select "Request Access" to send a request to the current administrators on your organization's profile. Once they receive and approve your request, you will be able to log in and complete the registration survey.

Why do I see "Inquire about registering"?

If you see an "Inquire about registering" message, reach out to our team for assistance by clicking "Inquire", or the blue chat bubble at the bottom right of the page!

B) If your organization does not appear in the search results:

Don't fret! Just scroll to the bottom of the results and click the Add My Organization Button to get set up and continue with the registration process!

Note: If your organization already has a GiveGab profile, you may skip that step and head straight to the registration survey! See step 2A above.

Step 3: Add Your Organization

If you clicked the Add My Organization Button, you'll be directed to this registration form where you'll be prompted to enter some basic information about your organization. This is also where you'll create your personal login to access and edit your organization's Giving Day profile. You can add additional administrators to your organization's account once you've registered. Once this section is complete, click the Continue Button.

Step 4: Complete Registration Survey

After completing the steps above you'll be directed to the final page before your registration for the Giving Day is complete. Here you'll need to answer the required survey questions before finalizing your organization's registration for this event.

Note: To complete the survey, be sure to fill out every field accompanied by "*required".

My Giving Day has a registration fee - how do I complete payment?

If you're participating in a Giving Day that charges a registration fee, you will need to select your "Registration Type" at the beginning of the survey:


After selecting a Registration Type, a field to enter your name and credit card information will appear at the bottom of the survey. Please make sure to fill out those fields before you submit.

The survey requires I upload documentation - how do I do so?

Some surveys will require that you upload documentation. If this is the case, click the "Choose File" button to upload your document. Please ensure it is a PDF that is less than 5MB in size.

I received an "Authentication Required" error message - what now?

If you received an "Authentication Required" error message, it is likely because you've been inactive on our site for an extended period of time and need to log in again to be re-authenticated. Please try navigating to the Bonterra/GiveGab sign-in page here in a new tab or window and logging in again.


​To avoid losing your work, please do not close out the tab where you have been working on your registration!

Once you have logged back in, you should be able to navigate back to your registration form and successfully submit it.

Once the survey is complete, click the "Submit" button to finish your registration. Next, you'll receive an email confirmation and automatically be redirected to your Giving Day dashboard on GiveGab where you can begin customizing your Giving Day profile!
