With GiveGab, you can create customizable fundraising campaigns and events to maximize your impact through online fundraising efforts and to increase incoming donations. Below, we'll guide you through the specific differences between campaigns and events so that you and your organization can use both to optimize your fundraising efforts.

What is a Fundraising Campaign?

A fundraising campaign is an extended period of fundraising that highlights a specific goal that your organization desires to reach. With campaigns, most of the fundraising is conducted online by nonprofits and peer-to-peer fundraisers.

What are some reasons nonprofit organizations might host Fundraising Campaigns?

Organizations host campaigns for a variety of reasons. The most successful campaigns reflect your organization, highlight the reason you are fundraising, and sound exciting or interesting to donors. You can learn everything you need to about customizing your nonprofit's fundraising campaign here

Who Can Run a Fundraising Campaign?

What is a Fundraising Event?

A Fundraising Event is similar to a Fundraising Campaign, with a few key differences. Like a Campaign, GiveGab's Event feature allows you to create customizable fundraising pages to maximize your impact through online fundraising efforts and to increase incoming donations.

Also like with a campaign, Fundraising Events highlight a specific goal that your organization is trying to accomplish.

Fundraising Events differ from Campaigns in that Events allow you to organize an event on a specific day that will be hosted in your community. Registrants and Donors use the GiveGab interface to register for, support, and share your event on their social media platforms.

Using the GiveGab platform, you can set up a Registration Fee, add Registration Codes to offer certain users discounted registration, set up a Registration Survey, and sell Swag Items that participants can pick up on the day of the event. Registrants are also able to share in your fundraising efforts through our peer-to-peer fundraising feature by sharing their fundraising page on their Facebook or Twitter profiles. You can learn more about customizing a fundraising event for your nonprofit here.
