When preparing for a Giving Day, it’s essential to understand the different types of pages that represent your organization and its fundraising efforts. Two commonly used pages are the Profile Page and the Support Profile Page. While they may seem similar, each plays a distinct role in your campaign strategy.

Think of your Profile Page as your organization’s “home base” on the Giving Day site—it tells your full story. In contrast, Support Profile Pages are like satellite campaigns that drill down into specific efforts, making it easier to connect with different types of donors and fundraisers.

Both types of pages play a critical role in maximizing your Giving Day success—and together, they offer a flexible way to engage your community and boost your impact.

Parent Profile Page: Your Organization’s Official Presence

A Parent Profile Page is your organization's primary and official page on the Giving Day platform. It includes:

  • Your logo and branding

  • Mission statement and organizational overview

  • A general donation form

  • Custom goals, videos, or stories

  • Leaderboards and incentive tracking

  • Donor recognition

This page is managed by your organization and serves as the central hub for all Giving Day activities. It’s where your organization can share its story, impact, and fundraising goals to inspire giving across your entire mission.

Support Area Profile Page: A Focused Fundraising Campaign

A Support Area Profile Page—sometimes referred to as a campaign or sub-campaign page—is tied to your organization but focuses on a specific program, fund, department, or initiative. It’s typically used when:

  • You want to highlight a particular area of impact (e.g., disaster relief, scholarships, youth programs)

  • Departments within a larger organization are running their own fundraising drives

  • Volunteers, staff, or peer fundraisers want to create personalized appeals

Support pages are excellent for engaging niche audiences, allowing them to give toward something they care deeply about while still supporting the overall organization.
