An iframe is embedded to your website and allows your web team to have total control over the page. HEPData proves the search box which is connected to their database. Embedding the iframe onto your #CUNYTuesday profile allows you to easily make changes and updates to the page.

Implementing an <iframe> is done by adding the tags <iframe src="url"></iframe> in the desired location on your profile. The search dialogue and the results will appear within the <iframe> rectangle.

An example of what this looks like in the HTML code view of your profile is:

<iframe src="" width="100%" height="500" scrolling="auto" frameborder="0"></iframe>

you can play around with the settings for width, scrolling, and frameborder preferences to your liking. Tags that you can use here include "yes, no, or auto" and 0 - border off or 1 - border on.

The steps below outline how to add this HEPData iframe onto your #CUNYTuesday profile - let's get started!

Step 1: Locate the embed code that you will use for your iframe

Please contact Elina Gorelik at to receive your personalized iframe code.

For our example, we will be using the embed code "".

Step 2: Navigate to your #CUNYTuesday Dashboard

From the "Home" tab of your Admin Dashboard on, click on the #CUNYTuesday logo underneath the Giving Day banner, highlighted below.

Step 3: Insert the code into your Giving Day story

From the Giving Day dashboard, click on the "Add Your Story" drop-down menu to expand the story editor.

Under the "Tell Your Story" section, click on the "Code View" button to convert your story to HTML.

From here, you can paste the iframe directly into this section, wherever you need it to appear.

For the purpose of this example, the iframe we are using is: <iframe ">src=""width="100%"height="500"scrolling="auto"frameborder="0"></iframe>

Once you've pasted in your iframe, you will want to be sure to click "Save" to save the iframe in place.
