Step 1: Locate an Organization of Your Choice

Navigate to https://www.ocnonprofitcentral.org/ and search for the organization you'd like to give to by either clicking "Find Organizations" or using the search bar in the upper right corner.

Step 2: Start the Donation

From the organization's profile, click on the "Donate" button.

Step 3: Customize Your Donation(s)

After selecting an organization(s) to donate to, you will be asked if you want to:

(a-required) Choose (or adjust) your donation amount;

(b-optional) Change the display name of the donation;

(c-optional) If you are a new donor to this organization;

(d-optional) Make this a recurring gift;  

(e-optional) Make this donation in honor or in memory of someone;

(f-optional) Add a public message to this donation;

You can also choose to "Remove this Donation" if you no longer would like to proceed, or you can add on another organization by clicking "Add Another Organization".

After customizing your donation, click the "Next" button to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Select Your Payment Method

From the "Payment Method" dropdown menu, select the "Bank Account" option. You will be prompted to enter your bank account information once you click "Submit" on the next step.

Note: The "Bank Account" option will only populate if your gift meets a specific donation minimum amount. For more information about the donation minimum amount, please see the FAQs which can be accessed from the "Menu" dropdown in the right upper hand corner.

Step 5: Confirm your information

Enter your first name, last name, email address, and mailing address.

Note: Your email address is required so we can send you a tax-deductible receipt. 

Note: If you're not located in the U.S., you will be able to select another country from the "Country" dropdown box, and you'll be able to continue the donation process from there.

Step 6: Confirm Your Gift

Review your information to ensure that it is accurate.

You will also have the option of covering the associated fees that will be incurred by the organization.

Additionally, you can choose to make hide your display name publicly, to hide the donation amount publicly, and/or to hide your name from both the organization and the public. Please click the checkbox next to any of these options if you would like to do so.

Once you are sure the information is accurate, click the "Submit" button.

Step 7: Enter Your Bank Account Credentials 

Click the "Continue" button to proceed, then select your bank from the listing. In the text fields, enter your bank account user ID and password to proceed.

Note: Plaid supports over 1,700 financial institutions, which means you can search from more than 1,700 financial institutions to find the bank of your choice.

Step 8: Select Your Account 

Choose the account (such as checking or savings) from which you would like to make your donation, then click the "Continue" button. 

Note: Once you click the "Continue" button, your donation will automatically be processed.

Step 9: Receive Your Receipt

Once the donation is completed, you will receive one receipt in your email inbox for every organization to which you made a gift.
