How do I add a matching opportunity for my AmplifyATX.org profile?

Step 1: Navigate to your Admin Dashboard

If your home page is not your Admin Dashboard, click on the drop down box at the bottom of the screen next to “Viewing Dashboard For” to view a list of organizations that you are an administrator for. Click on the name of your organization you’d like to access.

Step 2: Navigate to your AmplifyATX.org Dashboard

From the “Home” tab of your Admin Dashboard on www.givegab.com, click on the “Amplify Austin Day” text within the Amplify Austin Day banner highlighted below.

Step 3: Manage Sponsor Matching

From your AmplifyATX.org Dashboard, click "Manage Sponsor Matching" under "Donation Tools" at the bottom of the page:

From there, click the "Add Match" button to begin customizing your matching opportunity.

Step 4: Customize Your Match

After clicking the "Add Match Commitment" button, you'll be taken to the form shown below where you can enter in the specific details of your match.

Add a Sponsor Logo

If the sponsor of your match has a photo or logo that you or they would like to feature, you can upload that here to be displayed along with your match. 

This section is optional, but to add a photo, simply click “Select Image” and click “Apply” once you’ve adjusted it.

Name Your Match

Here you’ll want to add the name of your match as it will appear to donors. Think of this as the promotional name of your match - such as "Double Your Impact!"

Add Match Description

To give your supporters more details about this specific match, you’ll want to add a description. Here you can let your supporters know how much their gift will be matched by as well as any other info you want to include about this opportunity.

Set Available Matching Funds

Here you’ll want to input the total amount of funds available for this specific match. For example, if your match is for $25,000, you'll enter 25000. You do not need '$' or commas.

Choose a Matching Ratio

Donations will be multiplied by this amount when matched. For example, if 2:1 is selected and Auto Matching is enabled (see more about Auto Matching below), a gift of $100 that comes in will be matched at $200 from your match pool. An associated offline donation in the amount of $200 would be created in your Donation Report.

Note: The ratio of a Match cannot be changed after the match is created, so make sure you're happy with your choice before saving!

Add Your Sponsor Name

Fill in this section to display the name of your Match sponsor according to how they would like to be recognized for their sponsorship. The Sponsor Donor Name is required for your reporting purposes and will not display publicly unless you check the box next to "Display Sponsor Donor Name Publicly."

Add a Sponsor URL

If you would like to promote your sponsor and share a link to their website, you can add their website URL here.

Set Match Time Zone

You can use the "Time Zone" drop-down menu to select your campaign's Time Zone.

Set Match Start Time (Optional)

If your Match has specific guidelines regarding when the donation must be made in order to qualify for the Match, you can select the time when the Match should start applying by clicking the box beneath “Start Time (US/<Time Zone>)” and selecting the date and time from the drop-down menu.

Set Match End Time (Optional)

If there is a point where donations will no longer be counted towards matching funds, you can set the time the Match should stop applying by clicking the box beneath “End Time (US/<Time Zone>)” and selecting the date and time from the drop-down menu.

Set Maximum Matching Funds Per Donation

If there is a Maximum Match amount per individual donation, you can set that number beneath the box labeled “Maximum Match per Individual Donation”. If someone makes a donation greater than this amount, it will only match up to the maximum you set.

Enable Auto-Matching

You have the option to enable automatic Matches to the donations that you receive for your campaign during the period the match is active (or all donations if no start/end time is selected).

Checking this box means that when an eligible donation comes in, an offline donation will be created automatically so the Match amount is also shown on your profile and will count towards your totals. Auto Matching will work for all Matching Ratios currently available to select.

Step 5: Save Your Match

Once you have completed this form, click "Save" to view your Match.
